The Council, begun in 2024, is the first national council to include student members from FBLA Middle School.

Evan Hutchins is an eighth grader at Halsted Middle School in New Jersey, and is honored to serve on the national Middle School Student Leadership Council. Since joining FBLA in seventh grade, he has held the positions of chapter president and treasurer. Evan has worked to bring awareness to FBLA within his school district by creating videos and vlogs documenting FBLA activities, utilizing his experience at the National Leadership Conference last June. His competition successes include two first place finishes at the New Jersey FBLA Middle School SLC, and placing second at the National Leadership Conference (NLC). In his free time, Evan enjoys performing in his school musicals, playing several instruments, and arranging music. He is also a thrower on the track and field team. Evan is excited to help every member have the same life-changing FBLA experience he had and be able to “Dare to Dream” this membership year.

Avyutha Mandava is an eighth grader at Williams IB Middle School in Florida, and is very excited and grateful to be serving as one of the first national council members. Since starting her journey in FBLA in sixth grade, Avyutha has been elected as one of the four junior officer members and is now the president of her local chapter. Avyutha has worked hard to ensure communication between FBLA members, including promoting projects and events. She has also won two awards at the district and state level in FBLA and HOSA. In her free time, Avyutha loves playing volleyball and reading books while listening to music. Her goal as a council member is to initiate communication channels between middle schools across the country to empower members to become future business leaders.

Milo Skimbo is an eighth grade student at John G. Shero Middle School in Wilburton, Oklahoma, and is thrilled to be serving as a member of the national FBLA Middle School Student Leadership Council. Since joining FBLA in 2020, Milo has been elected local chapter president and Oklahoma FBLA Middle School president. He has won several awards at the state level, and first place in Elevator Speech at the 2023 NLC. Milo has worked with his chapter to complete the Merit Award, bringing home first (2024) and second (2023) place banners. He also serves as eighth grade class president and is involved in FCCLA, Fellowship of Christian Students, and Student Council. He hopes to serve middle school students throughout the country and work to provide new opportunities to FBLA Middle School chapters. Milo enjoys playing basketball, football, and baseball in his free time.

Lynley Thacker attends Burgin Middle School in Kentucky, where she is an eighth grader. Lynley has served as her local chapter secretary for three years. Outside of school and FBLA, she is an active 4-H member, and cheers for middle school, high school, and Kentucky Spirit Athletics. She is very excited to be a part of the first cohort of FBLA Middle School members helping to lead at the national level.

Margaret Thompson, also known as Greta, is in eighth grade at Pulaski Heights Middle School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since joining FBLA in sixth grade, Greta has served as reporter and vice president, and she is currently serving as president of her chapter. She also has done well in competitions, placing third at the NLC in the Annual Chapter Activities presentation. Outside of FBLA, Greta can be found listening to music, painting, reading, and watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Greta also loves community service and giving back, and regularly volunteers
