The Virtual Walk to Anaheim to End Alzheimer's

The FBLA High School National Officers are proud to launch the FBLA Virtual Walk to Anaheim in support for the Alzheimer’s Association. Nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million serve as their caregivers.

Deadlines

Game Deadline: June 1, 2025
NLC Recognition Deadline: June 1 Deadline for Recognition at the FBLA HS and MS National Leadership Conference (NLC)
NFLC Recognition Deadline: November 1 is the deadline for recognition at the FBLA National Fall Leadership Conference (NFLC).

How the Game Works

Step 1: Print a poster-size graphic of the Virtual Walk to Anaheim game board and display it on your classroom wall.

Step 2: Download the registration form containing the documentation that must be submitted.

Step 3: Appoint an Officer to be a Team Captain and to manage the documentation required.

Step 4: Encourage your members to participate in the Virtual Walk and register your FBLA Local Chapter Team HERE.

Step 5: Recruit members to your Team throughout the year.

Step 6: Track your fundraising project throughout the year HERE.

Step 7: Save your documentation in a share drive as you complete the game.

Step 8: When you have completed the required documentation for the game, upload your work.

Step 9: Submit your Virtual Walk to Anaheim Form when you have completed and uploaded the required activities.

Step 10: Celebrate your accomplishments with a chapter pizza party!

Every FBLA high school and middle school chapter can participate in the activities on the game board to receive the following recognition:

Recognition

All participants who raise at least $100 will earn the official Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt. Click HERE for other member participant incentives.

 

Note: For all NFLC recognition, the only requirement is to register your FBLA team and raise the amount of money, and you will have already checked off the first item on the gameboard!  We will use the Leaderboard HERE to track teams and amounts as our first check-in on our Virtual Walk to Anaheim.  Just register your team!

 

 

Local Chapters

  • All high school and middle school local chapters registering a team and raising at least $100 and attending the NFLC will receive ribbons for their name badges.
  • The high school and the middle school local chapter raising the most funds will receive a plaque at one of the General Sessions of the NFLC.
  • All high school and middle school chapters meeting this challenge will receive 200 bonus points towards their Champion Chapter ending point total.

State Chapters

  • All State Officer Teams registering a team and raising at least $250 will receive a digital medallion to display on their social media.

  • All State Officer Teams registering a team, raising at least $250, and attending the NFLC will receive State Officer ALZ Challenge ribbons for their name badges.

  • The State Officer team raising the most money will receive a plaque for their State and each state officer team member will receive a gift on stage at one of the General Sessions at the NFLC.

  • For all NFLC recognition, the only requirement is to register your FBLA team and raise the amount of money, and you will have already checked off the first item on the game board!  We will use the Leaderboard HERE to track teams and amounts as our first check-in on our Virtual Walk to Anaheim.  Just register your team!

  • All chapters completing the game with required documentation on the submission form will receive a digital certificate and digital medallion to display on their chapter social media pages.

  • The top local and state high school and middle school chapters who fundraised the most money in each Region will be recognized with plaques at the Special Membership and Partner Awards Ceremony at the National Leadership Conference.

  • All chapters completing the game and raising at least $250 will receive an additional 300 Champion Chapter bonus points to go toward their ending point total.

  • All chapters raising at least $250 (the $100 raised from the November 1 deadline for chapters that did this will count towards the $250) and attending the NLC will receive NLC ribbons to wear on their name badge.

Awards & Recognition

The top 3 chapters in each division will receive a digital certificate, and each team member will receive a medallion. The top 3 chapters in each division will be recognized on social media and in Tomorrow’s Business Leader and on-stage at the FBLA NLC.
