The Stock Market Game

Event Information

Students in the FBLA SMG may work individually or in teams of two to five members to build and manage a successful investment portfolio of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, using a hypothetical $100,000.

They track their investments over the course of 10 weeks, receiving valuable opportunities to practice math, critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills as well as essential real life money skills.

FBLA SMG portfolios are ranked by percentage growth compared to the S&P 500 Index. Top performing portfolios in each division (middle school, high school, and college) will be publicized through FBLA.

Game Terms

You must be a paid FBLA member to participate in the FBLA Stock Market Game.

Team fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and will NOT carry over to the next semester. Unused team portfolios will be deleted three weeks before the end of the session.

You must be an FBLA Adviser or FBLA Collegiate member to register for the FBLA Collegiate Stock Market Game.

ONLY FBLA Advisers may submit registrations for the Middle School and High School FBLA Stock Market Game competitions!

FBLA collegiate members may register themselves or through their professor.

Registration opens September 3, 2024 for the Fall Stock Market Game . To purchase and register teams for the Stock Market Game please follow the instructions below:

They can also explore majors, careers, and colleges while getting bite-sized tasks, tools, and resources that help them prepare for life after high school, starting as early as age 13! Students have the option of being contacted by our network of partnering colleges and universities looking for students like them.
